During the past seven days, I dedicated my time to learning as much as possible about SEO content creation as a part of my mission of Mastering SEO in 30 Days. More specifically, SEO for blogs.

What I created this week

Writing the Guide

The goal of this blog was mainly to research the information I needed to optimize a blog for a company. It also served as good practice because I was able to implement what I was learning into the guide itself.

Overall, I’m proud of this blog because it’s the most in-depth post I’ve written so far. I wanted to make sure that it could stand up against competitors writing about the same subject, so I included as much information as I could from many different sources. This was a major win for me.

Editing a Blog for Akash

I decided to put my newfound knowledge of SEO to the test by optimizing a blog for a startup called Akash. I chose this company because I am a huge fan of their vision and I also saw lots of room for improvement in their blog.

I’m really glad I got to practice my SEO skills by editing one of their blogs and I hope it will help my career in the future.

Challenges

This week went extremely smoothly. Right up until day 6.

While attempting to document my editing process for Akash using the video editing software, Loom, I ran into technical difficulties. The problems got so bad that I had to scrap the video in its entirety and document my process through a blog.

Because of time constraints, this could have been a major problem for me, but I was able to turn it around by recycling my work

My Goals for Next Week

My goal is to learn how about CTR and document it in video/blog format.

I would like to cover these topics:

  • An overview of CTR
  • Optimizing Chirps meta descriptions

After this next week, I’ll be able to add AISEO to my tech stack, optimize my personal website, and gain more SEO-related skills.
