Hey there! I’m Elis, a professional starting my career in tech.

Over the past year, I’ve learned about many different roles in tech, and I decided to enter the world of digital marketing, specifically SEO.

This series documents my journey into online business as a search engine optimization practitioner.

Business Twitter

Personally, I’m not a huge Twitter user. That’s why it was slightly difficult to come up with ideas for my company’s Tweets.

However, after looking through various online guides I was able to brainstorm some ideas for Tweets. Here’s a useful graphic from Business Twitter that provides a month of post ideas.

One strategy I’m looking into utilizing is reposting or tagging other brands within our niche. Because, our account is brand new if we can get our company mentioned by a bigger account, that would give us a huge boost.

Company Newsletter

Every online business can benefit from a newsletter. In fact, email marketing tends to result in higher ROI than other strategies such as SEO.

As an SEO myself, I see this as an amazing opportunity to get experience in the email marketing realm seeing as it directly affects website traffic. Getting experience in other forms of marketing is important for anyone who’s new to marketing.

Last week, I spent some time testing out various email marketing software, and this week, I’m going to choose one and start putting together a newsletter for next month.

PR

PR or public relations is a great way to grow your audience by getting your stories in the news.

I would like to take advantage of this opportunity given that I’m the one writing the blogs for my company.

My goal is to dedicate a few posts each month that can be sent to various publishers. These stories are going to be brand related.

For example, I can write blogs highlighting company updates, CEO backstories, or client features. This might be good for backlinks as well.

Wrapping up

This week I have a lot on my plate. Daily tweets, LinkedIn posts, multiple blogs per week, a newsletter, and a few extra projects behind the scenes.
